Indonesia: E33G remote worker visa

The E33G is Indonesia's remote worker visa for people employed by a company outside Indonesia. The immigration service asks for a bank account showing salary or income of at least USD 60,000 per year, plus an employment contract with a company established outside Indonesia.

The visa itself is valid for 90 days from issuance to enter Indonesia, and the authorised stay is one year. The stay can be extended online at evisa.imigrasi.go.id or converted to another type of stay permit.

The headline fee for a 1-year stay is IDR 7,000,000. It is made up of IDR 500,000 for the limited stay visa, IDR 2,000,000 for the Category II verification, IDR 3,000,000 for the limited stay permit of up to 1 year and IDR 1,500,000 for the re-entry permit of up to 1 year.

Show a bank statement covering 3 months with at least USD 2,000 or equivalent.

1. Create an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id and log in.
2. Upload a passport valid for at least 6 months, the 3-month bank statement, a recent colour photo, a CV and your itinerary as PDF or JPEG files.
3. Immigration checks the documents, verifies the payment, creates and verifies your profile, approves the application and issues the visa.
4. Processing takes five working days after payment is received.
