The United Arab Emirates offers a one-year residence visa to people who work for an employer outside the country. The UAE government portal asks for a salary certificate of at least USD 3,500, or the equivalent in another currency.

The visa lasts one year and lets you enter the UAE under self-sponsorship.

Documents

  • A copy of health insurance.
  • A medical fitness test result.
  • Proof of work outside the UAE.
  • A salary certificate of at least USD 3,500 or the equivalent in foreign currency.

How to apply

  1. Collect the four documents above.
  2. Apply through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) or through GDRFA Dubai.
