The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a five-year multiple-entry visa with stays of up to 180 days per entry. The Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest asks for at least 500,000 THB in assets rather than a monthly income.
Proof of funds
Accepted proof includes a 6-month official bank statement, payslips or sponsorship letters. Crypto and other investment statements are not accepted.
Staying longer
Each entry allows up to 180 days. To extend, contact the Immigration Bureau in Thailand after you arrive.
Family
Spouses and dependent children of DTV holders are eligible with proof of relationship, such as a marriage, birth or adoption certificate. A child whose main purpose is schooling applies for a non-ED visa instead.
Fee
The Budapest embassy charges 350 euros for a multiple-entry visa, non-refundable. Each embassy or consulate sets its own fee.
